About the role

This is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer opportunity with a fast-growing US healthtech business that partners with employers to steer members towards higher-quality doctors and lower-cost care. The role sits in the Platform Engineering team and owns the reliability, performance and resilience of the cloud infrastructure behind the company’s products and its AI and machine learning workloads. You’ll define, measure and enforce SLOs, join the on-call rotation, lead incident response and root cause analysis, and build the monitoring, alerting and observability systems the wider engineering team relies on. You’ll turn scaling requirements into automated Terraform infrastructure, drive cost and performance improvements, reduce operational toil with automation and AI tools, and make sure operations meet security and HIPAA obligations. The stack includes AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Istio, Python, Go and Datadog. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience operating production cloud infrastructure at scale in an SRE, DevOps or platform role, with deep Kubernetes and Terraform skills, a record of SLO-led reliability work, and strong Python or Go for automation. Experience supporting AI or data-intensive workloads and working in a regulated environment would be advantageous. This is a remote US position with occasional travel to the New York headquarters, suited to an engineer who combines operational discipline with a bias for automation. We're looking for someone curious, pragmatic, and eager to work across the stack with a small senior team. You'll own end-to-end delivery of major features, influence architecture, and mentor engineers.

What you'll do

  • Ship customer-facing features on a weekly cadence.
  • Partner with design and product on scoping and trade-offs.
  • Drive technical quality through review, testing, and docs.
  • Mentor one or two engineers on your team.
